Don't skip the sound-and-light show at the palace (if available) — check locally. Don't visit Brindavan Gardens on Tuesday (fountain maintenance). Don't try to rush Mysore in a day trip from Bengaluru — stay at least 2 nights to see the palace illumination and visit Chamundi Hills. Don't buy 'sandalwood' from street vendors — it's usually fake. Use government emporiums.
